Aadhaar number can also be used to apply for a PAN card. This is another important document commonly required by taxpayers. The Income Tax Department issues a card with a unique 10-digit alphanumeric number to preserve a record of all tax-related information of an individual in order to prevent tax evasion. Regardless of paying income tax, PAN card is essential to receive tax refund. Having an Aadhaar card eliminates the need to fill a comprehensive application for a PAN card. How to Apply for PAN Card Instantly through Aadhaar Card in Simple Steps?


Step 1– Visit the official e-filling home page of the IT Department.


Step 2– When the page loads, select the ‘Instant E-PAN‘ option from the ‘Quick Links’ area of ​​the home page. This will immediately take you to the PAN allocation portal.


Step 3– Then click on ‘Get New PAN‘ button.


Step 4– Next, enter your Aadhaar number for PAN allocation and tick the ‘I confirm that‘ box before pressing the ‘Continue‘ button.


Step 5– Then you will receive Aadhaar OTP on your registered mobile number, which you have to input in the required field before clicking on ‘Validate Aadhaar OTP‘ and ‘Continue‘ button.


Step 6– After that, you will be taken to the OTP Validation page. Accept the ‘Terms and Conditions‘, then press the ‘Continue button‘.


Step 7– Then enter your OTP, check the box and press ‘Continue Button‘ again.


Step 8– If your email ID is not verified, click ‘Validate email ID,’ enter your credentials, and then click ‘Continue button‘.


Step 9– After you submit your Aadhaar details for validation, you will be given an acknowledgment number. You can check your PAN allocation status by entering your Aadhaar number.


To download e-PAN, first, complete the first two steps, then click on ‘Check Status/Download PAN‘ option, enter your Aadhaar number and captcha code. Tap on submit icon, validate by entering OTP and complete the process. If PAN allocation is successful, PDF file link will be provided within 10 minutes; Download it and enter password (date of birth in DDMMYYYY format). Although the procedure is simple, applicants must keep in mind that Aadhaar must be linked to the registered cellphone number.
